Bud was a very dear friend and I’ll miss his gentle ways, fierce intellect and his dedication to the preservation of his community. Rest in peace Bud.
I will remember the many occasions on which I enjoyed his company. We had a number of common interests and I shared many enjoyable conversations with him on them. He was a special and very caring man.
There will never be a day that goes past that I won’t think of you dad. I love you with every inch of my heart. You are so loved and adored by many. Love you, love Liz
Bud was an invaluable member of the Friends of Bowral. His rigours research, practical approach, enthusiasm and common sense to get to the heart of an issue will be greatly missed. On a personal note his quiet and dry sense of humour will always be remembered.
Bud and I worked together on many articles for the AGHS – he was a wonderful photographer but it as a dear and gentle friend that I will especially remember him, his quiet humour, his wonderful library- we often stopped books- and the later discussions. He will be much missed.
We are saddened to hear of the passing of of Bud or thoughts are with the family. Ivan Sandra Mason and Anella Petrie

Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.
Bud was a treasure – his and Maureen’s research on the Southern Highlands will always be such an important legacy for us all. He was a kind and gentle man with a lovely sense of humour and will be much missed and always remembered.
Bud, remembered with great affection by all who knew you. You never ceased to amaze me with your depth of knowledge on a wide range of subjects. A great contributor to the highlands history and heritage. Thank You Bud, RIP.
Darling Bud.
Thank you for always being strong, kind and gracious, you have been a bright light in mine and many people’s lives.
Rest peacefully darling man.
You’ll be sadly missed and joyfully remembered xxxx
Grandad i miss you and our conversation. I miss our chats about the museum and other stuff. Hope you sleep in heavenly peace, now you are with Grandma. I love you so much, thanks for being so fun, and for being the best Grandad ever. Love your granddaughter Evie xoxo
Although I had not known Bud for long, I found him a kind and gentle man. He was enormous help to the Berry & District Historical Society when he submitted an excellent submission on why the Berry Hotel Development should not go ahead. Through his actions and those of others, it was taken to the Land & Environment Court where they failed to get the development up. I noticed with interest at the Berrima Museum that Bud curated a exhibition of stereoscopes and historical photographs on display at one stage at the Berrima Museum. There a number of YouTube videos on Stories from the Studio. He obviously had a lively interest in heritage buildings, gardens, photography in all shapes and form. Bud, you are a great lost to all who knew you. Vale Bud
